Environment: As a progressive real estate player, we want to make a positive contribution to the environment. Safeguarding the environment through energy and resource efficiency is the core principle of its sustainable development policy. In this pursuit, we also create a positive contribution towards the global sustainable development goals (SDGs) by efforts towards energy efficiency, waste management, water management, digitization, labour welfare practices, and maintaining the highest standards of governance and conduct. All our buildings have been developed with green building strategies and have obtained LEED / IGBC certification, which is a testimony to our commitment. We have consciously made choices to minimize the carbon footprint during the lifetime of our assets. Our ultimate goal is to make Net Zero Buildings. We have started our journey to define SBTi guided targets for Net Zero and develop a roadmap for the achieving same.
Social: Aligned with our value of ‘Sevabhav’, we encourage a culture of service and helpfulness so that our actions positively impact society and generate transformative change. Our commitment to Seva defines and differentiates us. Max Group and all its group companies have made upliftment of community a consistent choice through Max India Foundation.
At Estate 128, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, we are contributing a small sum for every unit sold to build a home for the less fortunate.
Max India Foundation (MIF) was launched in 2008, as the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the Max group. MIF started with the vision of providing quality, affordable and accessible healthcare and make a difference to the lives of the underprivileged community in India. Over the last 5 years, MIF has identified Education as its new area of focus as it is an area of paramount concern in India, not only due to the lack of quality schooling but also due to the lack of focus in values like empathy and compassion. The focus of the Foundation is to facilitate, monitor and ensure quality and value-based education to underprivileged children. Over the last 15 years, Max India Foundation has impacted over 19 million people, across 901 locations, with the help of 540 NGOs.
Max Estates has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for the Estate 128 project in Noida, under which we are contributing a small sum for every unit sold to build a home for the less fortunate. Through this partnership, we are building 50 houses for the underprivileged communities in the Akera village of Rewari District in Haryana.
The pandemic underscores housing’s vital role in well-being, particularly for vulnerable groups. Improved housing fosters health, safety, dignity, education for children and social standing, impacting climate protection and access to services. This initiative prioritizes secure housing for families, combating poor living conditions and health risks. With 50 families as beneficiaries, the project addresses urgent housing needs.
Governance: At Max Estates, we follow the highest standards of governance while engaging with all stakeholders, be it internal or external. These standards go above and beyond the thresholds set by statutory provisions and labour laws. This philosophy encompasses all systems and processes including but not limited to human rights, fair and competitive wages, non-discriminatory hiring, Performance assessment and grievance redressal.
